Gigi's Playhouse 2015-2016 Annual Report


An EHS intern at Auto Die LLC in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mark Crosetto studied occupational safety and health management at Grand Valley State University. Mark Crosetto devotes a considerable amount of time to the local Gigi’s Playhouse.

A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome, Gigi’s Playhouse offers a number of transformative research-based programs. Gigi’s Playhouse also hosts events and services for family and community members at 31 playhouses throughout the United States and Mexico. 

According to the 2015-2016 Annual Report, the organization’s message reached in excess of 1.2 million individuals through Facebook. More than 26,000 families engaged in upwards of 50,000 cost-free sessions. The report also points to the organization’s community outreach, which touched 150,000 families. In addition, 3,000 new families join the organization every year. 

The 2015-2016 Annual Report noted the organization’s potential for growth in coming years. Approximately 200 inquiries have been made by families interested in establishing a playhouse for their communities.
